Elsewhere in the region
Section titled “Elsewhere in the region”If your campus is not one of the three storage sites, reach out through your Great Plains Network contacts, or through your own institution’s research computing or CI facilitation group. GP-STOR is built to serve the wider region, and the project wants to hear about workloads it has not planned for.
What is useful to bring
Section titled “What is useful to bring”Early conversations are more productive with a rough sense of:
- the size of the collection you expect to store, and how fast it grows
- whether the work streams data during computation or archives it afterward
- which of the access methods fits your existing workflow
- when you need it, against the project roadmap
Beta onboarding
Section titled “Beta onboarding”Beta users come on in Q2 2027, ahead of open access in Q3. Groups that have already talked to their campus lead are the ones that get contacted first, so raising your hand now is worth doing even though the service is not yet running.
